The annual BIO Convention, this year held in San Diego, is the key meeting for the Biotechnology sector. Presentations by Hilary Clinton and Richard Branson were plenary highlights, with many other presentations on a variety of biotechnology areas being delivered through the four day meeting.
Dr Roger took the opportunity to look at the NIH’s new scheme for integrating biotechnology research with innovative companies to better enable a successful commercial outcome. Steve Blank, a noted Stanford academic and lean business entrepreneur, held discussions with Dr Roger exploring methods of expanding the innovative approach of Californian Biotechnology firms to companies in Australia.
